Filming of Oliver/singer
Yesterday was the filming of Oliver as the singer in my music video. I booked out the drama studio for period 5 and asked our technician before hand if I could use the lights. As the studio booked after me we were quite pressed for time to film. I had some issue turning the lights on (as in not knowing how to) but thanks to my friend Jessie, who was very helpful throughout filming, they were set out quite nicely. Once we had set everything up I only had about 25 minutes left to film, however I think it turned out quite well.

And I took a variety of photos on my camera as I thought it might be handy for some ancillary photos;
There were also some shot I filmed which I did not story board but I think turned out really well and will probably throw into my video. For example;
I really like the depth of field in this shot.
This is what I have edited in so far;
before and after shot of Oliver
After:
- Glasses
- Shirt
- brushed down hair
- brogues
- Brown belt
I think I achieved the look quite well;

Singer
I was thinking, not only would it be so much simpler for me to film and edit, but also I feel it would be better and more aesthetically pleasing to have one star image in my music video instead of a whole band. I got the inspiration for this idea from Bastille's Laura Palmer music video.
Bastille again use it in another music video - 'Things we lost in the fire.'
I think this also will be good as in the song I chose they have technological musical instruments to which I do not have the facilities.
Here is a sketch of what I want it to some what look like:

Singer costume

Here is the lead singer of The band Bombay Bicycle club - Jack stead man. I an hoping to dress the singer in my music video similar to his look. A sort of smart Indie look. So brushed to the side hair, glasses, a shirt which are tucked into trousers. However jacks clothes are quiet bright and cheerful, and my music video is supposed to be quite dark so I will make sure Ollie's clothes are quite dark to match the mood. ![]() |

Singing parts
The underlined lyrics are the parts where the audience will see Oliver singing.
I will send this to him so when it comes to filming his parts he will know straight away what parts he will be singing and which parts he wont be.

More feedback
I Got some more feedback from my audience.
Some where very critical -
Some really enjoyed it -
And some were gave some really helpful constructive criticisms;
Most of the critisisms were about the intro either being to long and some shots that weren't nessasary so I think i should cut some of my footage from the part with daisy in the church.
