Diegetic sound
Here is how I added the diegetic sound at the beginning of my song.
So I started off finding the right sound online to download, eg footsteps.
I then would edit in the diegetic sound into my video on Imovie as it is much faster than editing on premiere pro. As shown in the screen shots bellow it is really simple to add and accurately edit in the sound.
If I wanted to edit a bit more precisely, I can zoom in and out using this tool:
Transitions
Again I used IMovie to edit in transitions as it is much simpler and faster. These are the 4 transitions i would normally ue the most, and the one I used in my music video.
And then I would just drag it to where I wanted it.
And then I could just double click the transition to edit the duration of it.
Effects (reverse)
To reverse my footage I would use premiere pro as it is a bit more complex and I would have to use a more advanced software.
To do this I would right click on the clip I would want to reverse, then click speed/duration and then it would pop up with this and the very simply click reverse.
I think using both editing softwares was good for me in my opinion as it was the fastest and most efficient way of editing my music video.
